Westar Marine Services has been catering to the San Francisco Maritime Community since it was founded in 1976 by" Buzz" Heffron.

 In the summer of 1997 Westar relocated from pier 46B to pier 50c to make room for the San Francisco Giants' ball park.

Westar operates 10 tugboats,5 water taxis, one molasses barge and several flat deck barges.  The experienced, professional personnel who operate

and maintain this equipment are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
